Daisies & Lemons

I
love to use fresh flowers and fruit to make a pretty arrangement. It takes only a few minutes to put something
together and it gives a lot of joy in return.
You don't even need a lot of flowers to make a statement. The scent and vibrant color of the lemons
play off the bright white of the daisies.
The great green color in the center of the daisies is repeated in the
small glass vase and the antique sherbet cup.
This simple arrangement uses different heights and a variety of glass to
make it interesting. I've used an upside
down plain drinking glass under the small green vase to elevate it. The crystal bowl of lemons in the back is
elevated on a small footed crystal dish.
Try looking at your glasses, vases, candlesticks, etc. upside down! I've used crystal water glasses turned upside down or a candlestick as a base for another dish to sit on to give it the height I want. Here are some variations of this idea to get you started. How about a few dark green limes with a tea cup, small jar or vase of deep purple pansies: How about a bowl of oranges with a glass in the center to hold water and some beautiful white hydrangeas? What do you have in the yard or cupboard that could brighten your day?
